Carnival partnered with StudioCanal in rolling out the Australian campaign for Rian Johnson’s breakout hit Knives Out – covering mass-market outdoor posters (rail, bus, bus shelter), in-theatre large format (front-of-house, digital exhibitor posters and standees) as well as a broad digital and print advertising campaign.

Carnival was briefed on adapting portrait motion poster to landscape format for an in-theatre pre-show teaser.
Without access to working files, Carnival separated the wax seal render. Our motion designers rebuilt the paper textures and typographic layout to a landscape format and proceeded to motion-track using 3D camera mapping. The end result was a near-perfect match to the original portrait and effectively built anticipation ahead of the cinema release.
