Jurassic Lounge reimagines the Australian Museum as a place where dinosaurs and hipsters coexist. For this campaign, we captured a playful moment between a young woman and an Oviraptor dancing together in an ancient forest, blending natural history with contemporary culture to appeal to a new generation of museum-goers.
Beginning with concept sketches, we photographed model Chit Su before combining photography with extensive CGI. Working alongside palaeontologists, we refined the Oviraptor’s anatomy, hand-sculpted and painted its feathers in ZBrush, then integrated it into a custom-built forest using a combination of 3D rendering, matte painting and compositing to achieve realistic lighting and atmosphere.
The final artwork seamlessly merges live-action photography and visual effects into a believable, cinematic scene. The campaign delivered another distinctive chapter for Jurassic Lounge, inviting audiences to imagine a world where prehistoric creatures still roam, only this time, they’re ready for a night out.
Coming to the Australian Museum, Saturday 26th September 2026. Tickets and more info here
