Three Summers

Working in collaboration with Transmission Films, Carnival created original illustrated key art for the Ben Elton film Three Summers. Working with existing set photography and stills from the film, the challenge was to develop a composition that featured the significant ensemble cast, as well as highlighting the two leads. In order to communicate a folk festival style of imagery (and to overcome the issue of having limited photographic assets), an illustrated style was developed and painstakingly undertaken in house. The digitally illustrated artwork was then adapted for use across a range of promotional materials, such as beer labelling and stubbie holders.
